The timing of this announcement (when most of the world is focused on whatever is going on with the US election) is curious but I can't help but think it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if they walked away from the JV - paying out the 60,000oz ore equivalent and returning all the mineral fields back to 100% ownership.
