For a Capital Raise, they're your conduit to the Fund Managers.

From a trading perspective. A full service Broker is the only way to go in my opinion. Building a long term rapport is priceless. Personally I trade less than 10% of my portfolio value online. Just enough to keep me amused.

agree Shamer, the capital raising side is key service. Brokers not for decision making but info flow. most will do for low brokerage nowadays. in time though, these digital fora will gradually substitute.
