Re QPM's offtake to GM... this argument is a stretch.
Fact: QPM just locked in stage 1 & 2 supply at something close to spot prices ("linked to the nickle/cobalt price at time of purchase").
Hard to argue with this strategy when:
- you're staring down the barrel of $2b CAPEX
- your business model is based on proving the technology in stage 1, then scaling up (more trains and locations utilizing near unlimited feedstock).
Credit where credit is due to the folk at QPM. I'd be happy with a similar arrangement for TLG.
