when he talks about global rubber suppliers I think he's talking about Continental AG, a world's Top 3 rubber products manufacturer known for being innovative.
Continental are headquartered in Hannover and one of their biggest factories is also in Germany. they have smaller plants across Europe and big footholds in USA, China, Brazil, India.
A perfect partner.
then there's the other global giants... Bridgestone and Michelin.
