Well now Korean research institute have results on breakthrough in dry coating electrodes ( anode/cathode) by using new binder.
A lot of energy is used in drying out the CAM/AAM current wet coating process. So a dry process can enable large cost savings.Plus it’s increasing cell performance as well.
Cheaper cells mean EV’s costs are cheaper . Also mean that battery materials can rise with less impact on total costs and so demand. For an extreme eg rare earths can rise hundreds of percent but only add a few cents to a smart phone cost. So price inelastic( hope I’m right there)
