What MRC are currently producing and calling active anode material (AAM) isn't the same as Talnode C.

MRC are producing uncoated spherical graphite. This still needs to be treated and coated to be battery ready active anode material. They did enter into an MOU with Forge Nano last August to produce coated active anode material, but as yet haven't produced any. They are a long way behind Talga in their product development and qualification.

Talnode-C is a coated active anode material made from spheronised flake graphite (see Vittangi DFS). It is battery ready and only needs to be applied to the copper foil (as illustrated below). Note - this is the standard cell production process.

The micrographite you're refering to is Talga's previous way of producing anode material via electrochemical exfoliation. Talga ditched that back in the updated PFS in 2019 for a conventional process, as the graphite flakes were already naturally <10 micron flake size and didn't require the same size-reduction process steps before spheroidisation as other graphite deposits. "Talga considers that this new processing pathway is a more economic process to making Talnode-C, in contrast to the electrochemical exfoliation route currently being used by the Company in its other Talnode and graphene products."

On 24M, they don't actually produce the anode material or the cathode material. They have a new battery cell design and manufacturing process which they license, it still relies on lithium cathode and graphite anode material to be supplied.

In regards to Talnode-C energy density, Talga did release some results of an ultra-fast charge capability with an energy capacity of >300mAh/g at an ultra-fast charge rate of 20C (top tier cells lose capacity when charged at a rate of 5C). This was to demonstrate the fast charge capability and not total energy density. I can't seem to find those figures for Talnode C although Talga did release some energy density results for Talnode-Si which was ~600mAh/g after 3 cycles.
