Seems to me that you're making a lot of assumptions yourself by saying that all previous methods are obsolete and that TLG has effectively taken a step back by doing so. Hardly seems logical that they would have abandoned the previous methods if they hadn't developed better ones. At any rate, it's obvious that you've made up your mind on TLG. To each his own. We'll see who's right.
