For me, this is a logical and necessary step.
We will be running a lab at Swerim at the end of the year. Besides the certificates in automotive are necessary. IATF 16949 will probably be added later. This is based on 9001. It is not only necessary, but it makes the acceptance and approval of the laboratory and the pilot plant faster and easier.
Otherwise we have to prove each requirement individually. A lot of work goes into the certificate. Now we just need to show it.
