Does seem odd …surely STX would have had some broad knowledge of their financial situation prior to jumping in as no way would you go in totally blind and just say “ let’s see what we find here” Anyway who knows , was it just a miscalculation by STX board and then their backers( MQG and others) “ hooked the bid” in which case it makes someone look rather foolish or maybe it’s all part of a bigger gambit .In any event it has provided the true believers with a top up opportunity.
