US IPO investors are locked in for 6 months unless underwriters give consent. The 5 banks / brokers should have targeted long term, specialist investors with deep pockets who are good for more later, piggybacking off the followers of Sheffield, Stoneburner etc. If properly managed, the book will be well over-subscribed to generate a healthy after-market, cycling any hot money into longer term hands with the bulk in solid hands to start off.
