Just pulling the numbers apart for the total resource a bit further - the average Cu grade of the extra 0.45B tons of ore is 0.24%, or less than half that of the global average Cu grade. That's a total contained metal value of just around $25 per ton for that ore at today's prices. It is amazing what economies of scale can do with costs. But is it worth it given the large increase in footprint and waste handling?
If this show ever gets up and running, the sheer size of it will be mindblowing, especially given the location.
