Emerald, i think the main idea behind electric cars is to reduce the use of world resources that we use up when provide for an unlimited consumption of fuel that our car market demands.
If we can use electricity and, eventually get that from non destructive resources, at a somewhat effective rate. (from solar/wind/hydro/other) This would be the best outcome especially if we want to stay on this planet longer than is probably expected.

On a side note. What car do you have that only costs $35/month to run?? i want it. or do you just not drive at all. *full time investor perks? *
