Magnis has a history of using the word “funding” rather loosely. Remember the announcement from 5-10-2018 titled ‘New York Governor Announces Funding Package’? It’s not really a “funding package” at all. More of a grant package really, based on an infrastructure spend promise (recall US$130m for stage 1. So far US$5m spent on secondhand equipment from auction).

I guess we’ll find out more about this gas pipeline in the future. Then again maybe we won’t, perhaps it will just disappear into the abyss with the Rosatom MOU.
