Indications are that an early Federal election here is going to be called. Not that it's a worry here like it is in the US, but our exposure to the imploding China and the deteriorating economic situation must have alerted the numbers guys and decision-makers to go early.

Possible strategic solutions for the US situation include expanding the number of judges on the US Supreme Court to crowd out the lunacy, but it will require a lot of co-operation across the aisle. A lot. Plus it's a security risk as well. This is absolutely one of the most 'interesting' of times in living memory.
We have to be alive to what is unfolding, Trump has control of the Republicans and his own former staffers including General Kelly are calling him out. Dick Cheney even is calling him out. He's got his beer house putsch then the election with interference from Putin etc, then all hell breaks loose. They have to front-run him for the sake of the rule of law.
