    "My question is, that if the fund was performing so well, why would you even think about cashing out ?"

    I think the strategy here is to allow yourself exceed your position size, and then reduce it back to your desired size when they let you cash it out at NAV.

    e.g. You may only want to allocate 10% of your portfolio to FOR, but you might allow yourself to double up and cut it back to 10% in 6-7 months time, to cash in on that spread between NAV and the SP, assuming of course disaster doesn't strike in the interim in one of the core holdings of FOR, or in the market more broadly.
