Magnum Hunter is the most leveraged of all USA shale oil players, it has massive debt and is highly speculative. Drillsearch has some risk but is BHP by comparison. SO DLS is not running a scare campaign, just telling it like it is. Personally i wouldn't hold Magnum shares for any longer than it would take to off load them whereas DLS have excellent medium and long term prospects - and this take over has synergies that will drive the sp higher and higher. And on top of that DLS has a good head start in this race though its existing holdings.
Almost certainly DLS will win this, as it should.
