It's a grey area but in NZ there is no capital gains tax on shares unless you are designated a trader. It's not really clear how many trades it takes to pin you as a trader but less better and passive exit on buyout is idea situation. What a privilege anyway with the risk arb traders on the bid to have the option of exiting even large positions.
