I think there’s some simple questions that can be asked about this, which may allay some fears:

1) Is Mark Calderwood an idiot? Yes/No

2) Does he have a history of making good decisions? Yes/No

3) Is it possible that someone inside TAW has done the maths on this deal? Yes/No

4) Is it possible that the person who has done the maths has run it by Mr Calderwood, who has computed additional figures / variables inside his head, according to demand, product forecasts, potential for new partners, alternate TO offers, production ramp up, go-to-market timeframes and resource management benefits and then made a (wise) decision? Yes/No

5) Do I have the complete picture (yet)? Yes/No
