In April, 2018 the local rag reported:
“Among Florida’s 12 greyhound tracks, Palm Beach Kennel Club is the biggest revenue generator by far. The track, just north of Palm Beach International Airport, generated nearly a quarter of the statewide greyhound betting action in 2016.”
$240m greyhounds turnover in 2016 in Florida.
25%=$60m at PBKC.
Bet Makers is collecting a fee based on revenue for the wide variety of services rendered.
At a very realistic 1% that’s $600k revenue based on the above turnover.
At 1.5% it’s $900k for TBH.
Please note those figures are in US dollars and will benefit from the prevailing conversion rate when sent home.
Tack on a bit extra for Global Tote revenues beyond that and you’re getting close to a fair guess I reckon.
Don’t forget, this is just one deal with a dog track that no-one in Aust has ever heard of before. Imagine the snowball to come.
Might be time to turn that frown upside down and enjoy the ride big fella!
