The Commonwealth EPBC approval was posted on 4/11/22. There are 2 lots in the QPM lease lot19 126 ha and lot20 161 ha.
The EPBC decided over half of lot 20 was a no go zone, this made QPM adjust the proposed plant layout.
After discussions with the Coordinator General and the Townsville City Council a revised plant footprint was submitted to the EPBC on 23/11/22 and approved on 14/12/22.
This original plant would have covered 221 ha the revised plant footprint covers 160 ha. This new plant layout would cover just about all available land on lots 19 and 20.
For stage 2 of the project more land will be needed, this is where Major Jenny Hill comes in, see @twobees post 27/11/22.
