Thinking about TA. A while ago someone was posting charts showing support levels which are now meaningless with price predictions now obsolete. What to make of this? Well now any TA has to take a step back and incorporate a longer time frame ie more history. So could one hypothesize that the results of TA are only useful for some time equal to a fraction of the length of history used to make it? Maybe 20%?
So for me as a buy and hold sort of person short term TA is no good. What does TA say now, anyone? Now that presumably a longer period of history will be used?
