The accounting changes all make sense to me. Long term outlook doesn't have any real surprises either, which I suspect is why the share price jumped up.
In effect the capitalization rules will make it look like the company is more profitable now and less in the future. The changes around the initial licence fees will make it look like the company is less profitable now and more in the future. The two are likely to cancel each other out for the moment.
