Every company is different, in the way that it's SP trades. That's why there's often little point in the "but company X is up 100% and we are better than them, so why is Y down 15%?" discussions, they just don't lead anywhere. One of the bigger factors in how SP's move is the retailer vs insto's percentage. You don't work for a big fund if you're only technique for buying a lot of shares in a company is to buy into the sell side. When you see manipulation/bots/weird SP behavior it tends to be a sign that bigger players are at work, now that could be them playing the upside or downside of course but that's where you then have to also consider retail sentiment and fundamental analysis. Although XPE typically heads down after positive anns it's SP is trending up. If you want some clarity on that one go have a look at it's weekly chart. SP moves on an hourly or even daily basis are more likely a result of accumulation on the part of the deep pocketed ones. A stock trending up, with good FA and funds accumulating might not be an exciting daytrade but it's where I want my money.
