Telstra has been run by bean counters and marketing managers for nearly 20 years, and any significant technology expertise has long ago been outsourced.
It has never recovered from the Trujillo era, and has been in decline ever since.
The Penn era just institutionalised the wokeness and identity politics, and prioritised woke culture over business results at every opportunity.
The next CEO was a member of the Penn politburo, so I don't expect any improvement.
