Contrary to what Telstra says, their 4g coverage is lacking compared to 3g. I live in a very fringe area with farms spread over approx 80km radius and have found general level of coverage is lower post 3g. Blah blah, if you were in a coverage area before you will be covered now....... bolex. At the fringe, the difference is making a call or not and 4g isn't stacking up. If they have plans to boost the signal they should let people know because otherwise $600 for a starlink mini and $15/month backup data plan (5gb data only) will do perfectly well for wifi calling and can be swapped from ute to machinery for the workday no issues.
Also, went to town earlier this month and 5g data speeds were abysmal, noone will be paying a premium for that with Optus having similar town coverage and national highway coverage (000 coverage cosponsored by gov, not sure why Telstra didn't go harder at that to cement advantage).
