Yort, I don't understand your disappointment that the buyback has been halted to allow directors buy more shares. If the directors are buying shares at the same time as the company, then there will be more demand, and it's likely that the company (which you are a shareholder) pays more cash for the same assets its buying back. It might bid the share price up in the short term and you feel a bit better about the share price going up, but the company, which you own shares in is no better off, and likely to be worse off. If your sentiment is to hold, then you'd be better off seeing the company buy back shares at as big a discount as possible. If however, you are wanting to sell then you might want to see a spike in the price manufactured by the directors buying shares at the same time as the buyback.
