I never short with intent to manipulate a stock or the market (many do), I only do it to either:
1. Recover some loss on a stock I held long and still believe in long term (or hope to)
2. To insure myself temporarily by holding the same notional value short and weather any storm (like A2M)
3. Because the company is batshit crazy and has made such a silly mistake they will dive dive dive irrespective of me
