From the AFR. this shows that the bug was in the terminal platform provided by worldline which was incorrectly interpreting a date on the security certificate. this in combination with Tyro's explanation in their false claims announcement "this issue caused valid, forward dated, certificates on the impacted terminals to be incorrectly interpreted as expired, due to the interplay of the selected expiry date and any date on or after 5 Jan 2021" means the valid security certificate was being incorrectly interpreted by the terminal platform provided by worldline. this means this bug is affecting all worldline terminals worldwide. worldline should thank tyro for discovering this bug.
