I don't agree. As a technology company crisis management and disaster recovery are paramount to success. So far Tyro are showing they have neither.
It is never hard to tell the truth, and only the truth will do. And of that truth is you don't know or need time to figure it out (as you imply) then that is the truth to be told.
When a technology company who's very existence relies on uptime (to transact) and a significant digital profile, then something like this happens and they are not willing to be very clear, smoke signals go very high.
I and likely many others could never accept such an advanced technology company has no idea what has happened. They know, and not disclosing it creates and seeds further doubt. You only don't disclose what you don't want people to know. Simple.
