I'm sure there is sentimentality surrounding Aristo, I know the story, but the fact remains I reckon Joey and his brother don't have the funds, even if there was an opportunity to purchase it. I don't think Aristo has any sentimentality to the Uncle's side of the family, they control the original Genting Highlands Resort and all the other assets built up by Lim Goh Tong, and judging by the 'founding story' of Aristo Uncle didn't have anything to do with it. It doesn't really pass the common sense test that Genting would step in and help out our equity, Htran's implication this will happen is bizarre. Maybe Genting would put in a bid at a fire sale price along with other bidders, but that doesn;t help us realise the potential of the assets.
