I agree the issuing of shares is unusual on its own, however It isn't that unusual (IMO) when you consider what ABB did with Symbio and then tried to acquire SLC. More shares on issue = less voting rights for ABB. It is clear SLC wants nothing more than not be acquired by ABB. Paul wouldn't want to package up his hard work for another company and leave long suffering shareholders in the lurch. He has a decent reputation in the industry, and this would undo it if he was to allow that to occur.
