Wouldn't it be better to make management expedite the SP to the strike price of their options through hard work, rather than just giving them the shares for free right now? At least that way the desire to increase the SP in order to get their options into the money has the same effect as management having skin in the game, with the added benefit that once they are in the money they then want to see a price appreciation from there. This in my opinion has them much more aligned with share holders than just handing them shares right now.
