re: Ann: TFS Announce Formation of Joint Vent... The Weekend Australian (june 13-14) had a 3/4 page article on MIS with a fair portion devoted to the merits of TFC to quote in part "only 3 percent of oil is extracted from each tree during harvesting. While the yield is low the quality of the sandalwood oil is as good as that from India" but still no mention of yield as this just means that 97% remains in the wood.
No comparison of quantity of oil per kg of wood AU v Indian makes it a less that informative article.
1750ha out of 2500ha in the ORIA (Ord River Irrigation Area) that are given over to Sandalwood are TFC plantations I assume this doesn't include Kinston Rest. Whatever. Forecasting to be debt free, currently $30M, by June 2010. First harvest 2012.

Anyone here know if the TFC host species are subject to dieback, or worse still if Indian Sandalwood is ? I understand dieback is to be found in the ORIA.
