Yes correct, granite, and other felsic and intermediate intrusions do weather to white oxidised material. However here they are drilling in a mafic greenstone belt. The granites are east and west of the greenstone. There are no felsic units in the Burmeister drill area based on the geology map. There are some felsic volcanics to the east near the Ultramafics. The main takeaway for me is that they are drilling the program as planned, making good progress and have had no reason to stop early (poor observations in the RC chips).
