I think the US has some ridiculous govt rebate scheme in place for the drug hence the opportunity for Aytu to charge whatever they wish and that's exactly what they've done. And they dont appear to have had much success.

This isnt the case anywhere else in the world though and the success of outlicensing has been hugely dependent upon manfacturing cost and the availability of government subsidy programmes within relevant territories. Its hoped that with the new Aus manufacturer in place and through Suda controlling handling, theres adequate margin now for pharma to outlicense the product and make money. Price competition, margins and govt subsidies are all huge players towards any likely success of the product. We can only hope that this recent TGA acceptance event with alignment to the Aus manifacturer can have a positive impact on other territories. But really god only knows what's happening there.
