Herein lies the problem with self testing. If you are fit and healthy then are much less likely to declare that you are positive and lose time at work. After all, the symptoms may be quite mild.
The point I want make is that the authorities care, but not to the point that it public health takes precedence over self interest.

Drive through testing as proposed conducted by the authorities with a fast and highly accurate RAT ensures compliance.
