So there are only 2 competitors approved so far and 129 failed.
of the 2 competitors one is BD Veritor 85.2% sensitivity and pretty poor after ct25. The other is lumira dx 83.8% sensitivity and also fades anything higher ct25.
The rest are all 'rapid (slow) PCR' and hour or so and LAMP tests, some with several manual process and also longer wait time.
Some of the LAMP or PCR ones based on sensitivity are only in the mid 80's.....NHS is chasing desirable 97%...
