I will never blame anyone on these types forums for my losses. We make our own decisions and must take accountability and live with them. I admit I am guilty of posting positive things about this company. I even recommended COB to friends who have lost money on this stock.
HOWEVER - it is just astonishing to see people continue to promote this stock in the wake of recent events.
These forums are so dangerous. When things are going well, you read peoples comments and their predictions about the stock being "multi multi bagger" and you think you're onto a winner. Exuberance and hubris takeover - you become emotional and take risks.
This experience has highlighted how uncertain investing is. Very few people make money picking stocks. Most of the time you're best off picking a few broad based Index funds and low cost ETF's.
Stock picking is a risky game - especially in micro-cap exploration companies... there's probably none riskier. Whilst there are huge returns if you pick the right winner, 99 times out of 100 - you wont.
I will never invest based on the sentiment on a Hot Copper thread again. It is one of the dumbest mistakes I have made and consider myself fortunate I have learnt that lesson early.
