I am sorry, I would respectfully disagree that 1,000,000 shares is nothing. This is suppose to be a reward on performance - so where is it?
Give me 1 M shares any day of the week and I would be eternally grateful.
I know I bought mine with my hard earned money on the market - atm, just under 300,000 shares.
Why should our CEO get 1,000,000 shares for free, just or being the CEO of the company, which he didn't have to do a lot of work for.
Whilst we have to fork out our hard earned money for ours!!!
Did you have to fork out money for your shares?
And its not about being petty.
Its about aligning rewards based on performance, so that the CEO's interest and our interests are matched.
It should not be a fait acompli that the CEO automatically gets a 1 M shares for doing what he/she was hired to do.
The bar should be set higher.
