I wouldn't conjecture about the dd a new investor may wish to do on the basis of the mullings of one (true believer) existing investor, who is cautioning himself from increasing CVN beyond 15% of portfolio on a dip.

Furthermore I expect any cautious newcomers to struggle with most investment stories, esp in the oil space.

That CVN has a complex story to tell is hardly the fault of management, as they have been exemplary at keeping focus, such that the one project is still the key valuation parameter.

Growth (as you note CVN has) is a key aspect I require - provided it has underlying strength, not just oiler hype. I don't care about other investors, although my best oportunuties occur when they behave irrationally in herdlike manner. I certainly couldn't give a rats about any ASX indice except the all ords. I have strong allergies to PR and "marketed" stories - these are for traders, rampers and/or suckers, not for me.

It's about OIL, not Indices.
