So following on from the above, where do people think we are now at with cash levels?
$1.06m (Sep 30)….less $0.86m (Q4 forecast expenditure)...plus $0.25m (outstanding EGM funds)
--------------------
estimate: $450k as at 31 Dec + US$70k ($100k AUD - Jan 3) = $550k (start Jan)
--------------------
Assuming expenditure is at the same pro-rata rate as forecast for Q4 - that is (860/3), or approx. $290k per month - then from here, ~3 weeks into Jan, we'd have ~5 weeks of cash left. Given the lead time to run a capital raise to the public is generally not short, are we staring at another sophisticated placement? Or praying for a strategic partner?
The last placement raised just $1.25m - including 20% of it released later after voting - that total is
potentially only 1.5 quarters of runway in itself, or roughly mid-year. Do we think that's long enough to develop our products and secure a '
real' contract?
Keen to hear others realistic (and impartial) thoughts
Hey
@Nomadic_Investor I reckon you've summed it up pretty succinctly. Another small cap raise pretty likely soon. Investor presentations and media releases would point towards a retail element in any cap raise but I don't think that's likely. I feel like they will raise a small amount privately $2 -3 million perhaps.
Below some research for anyone who's interested to read through. Hope it helps
It's all about the Drone Swarm product now. - That's a good thing.
"Rather than spreadingresources thin in the pursuit of multiple verticals, the Company is now focusing on thedefence industry for shorter-term wins, due to the anticipated amount of demand in thatmarket."
"Aquabotix remains focused on this shift from pursuing small, short-term sales in a varietyof verticals to developing larger volume sales, with a particular concentration on defencewhere product demand is particularly prevalent."

Upcoming catalyst:
US - US Navy’s 2019 Advanced Naval Technology Exercise (ANTX)
Thales - an unknown here for me. They are working with Msubs (but that's a whole different category of UUV's). I'm expecting big things with Thales on board. Largest military company looking into subsea detection systems that I can find. They have massive investment in surface tech but are just starting to go below.

Of which two are really SpecOp's demonstrations. So even if orders came from this they would be minimal and not widely announced so as to not draw attention to the use of them.
I don't think any US contracts will be announced until the culmination of the event in August 2019.

Russia and China are increasing their own underwater drone capabilities.

"By the early 2020s, Chinese scientists expect to be operating large unmanned and potentially armed submarines in the world’s oceans, aimed at enemy forces in disputed areas such as the South China Sea"
"In January last year, the Pentagon reported Russia was building and looking to operate its own large nuclear-powered unmanned submarines, likely capable of carrying nuclear weapons."
US and the West has no option but to invest millions and millions into underwater drone research.

Personally I'm not expecting much this year in the way of massive orders or material revenue. 2020 I think will be the catalyst year once the ANTX demo if finalised and further R&D tweaks are completed. Thales is the unknown for me. *watch this space* for my mind.
Aquabotix have been granted their Federal Explosives License.
Three paths to big orders:
1. Drone swarms with hunter seeker & explosive capability.
2. Black Op's surveillance / sub seas surveillance.
3. Mine detection and threat elimination
Scientific research and exploration. I have discounted as not that big a market for a swarm system and the company has moved away from commecial applications. It's all about military now.
To sum up. Small Cap raise soon. No biggy.
$1,000 investment each quarter for me so just accumulating
.
TA wise boring as batshit. MACD and RSI are trending opposite to price so that's a good thing. Apart from that....not much
