Straight out of the SG handbook, hardly, maybe just a balanced view. I guess thats why I am not in the class action.
Long term share price, the only one that matters is the current price. Anyone can lead during the good times but a true leader is someone who can during those times put systems in place for the bad times. It has become obvious that the management and board did not have systems in place to control what was occurring which was covered up during the good times but most certainly came to light during the bad.
Its also a pity that people seem to be forgetting also about large director selling prior to the downgrades! Were they aware that sales were falling through the floor, maybe, maybe not, but maybe they weren't aware because the company did not have the ability to be aware, a failure of the company to manage risk.
Would it have stopped all the share price bleeding, most certainly not but it may just have stemmed it a lot earlier.
