Ann: The Hon Kim Beazley AC Joins Orthocell Board, page-25

Come on guys? No one sane views Politicians with anything but a healthy dose of skepticism, but Beazely was an effective US Ambassador for Australia for half a decade and met with the then Vice President Biden several times on defence. Corporate influence over politics and political influence over business is huge, particularly in the US lobbying based systems. Dislike it by all means, but don't underestimate the importance of this for Orthocell:

Importantly, Beazely is Chair of USAsia organisation, one of the biggest, non-partisan institutions, trying to foster business relationships between Australia, the Indo-Pacific, and the United States, that having engaged some 30,000 individuals with regarded business, political and educational standing at more than 800 events across 25 cities in 10 countries since its inception in 2013, is massively involved in G'Day USA, you know, the stupidly titled, but massive economic diplomacy program in the United States, of the nation we live in:

USAsia's inception brought about by then US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton in November 2012, and now includes a host of important political and business leaders, like former Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, couple of ex-Western Australia Premiers, etc, etc. At least have an idea of what you are dismissing so easily as inconsequential:

This is the real importance of this Board Member's recruitment, but even if it were not a direct link to Australian foreign economic policy in the US and Indo-Pacific, to not see Beazely's influence on the important US lobbying circuit, is letting the emotional blinkers blind you on your investment:

Seriously, that a man of this political presence has joined little Orthocell's Board is frankly ridiculous, he must really see merit in the company's prospects like the rest of us, to join such a minnow. If you want to be utterly skeptical per the (understandable) worse criticisms above, then this is a political animal and nothing he ever does will be without shrewd self interest - ask yourself why he would take on this role if the guy is like most politicians, only about utter self interest, his stock options a drop in the ocean for him.
