The structure in the area of the known carbonatites will be part of the solution to why they are here.
Never had a good feel for structural geology and can only persevere and try and learn more. Having read some of the literature all of these poorly defined regions in Central Australia have had long and complex histories. More recent research is starting to unravel some of the threads which are very technical and way beyond HC posts..and me a lot of the time.

The results of extensional and compressional (pulling and pushing) forces over various time frames is one aspect that is probably displayed in the magnetics.

Joly et al came up with this thrusting focused model.
More vertical faulting vs thrusting. Academic at the moment.

Regional gravity is less clear than magnetics.
I may be imagining things but there appears to be a slightly more EW component in these vague data.
Not certain I got the location of P2 correct but if it is there is a hint that something else is happening that may not be visible in the magnetics
Too vague to be definitive about the Crean and Luni areas but both are along ENE interp linears. Expected for Crean but less so for Luni.

One minor surprise while developing the above was finding a miscellaneous license application by WA1 over ENR ground on 1/8/24. Such licenses are for logistics, water and co-exist with exploration tenements. Correct me if I am too far off.
