I have posted in the past about the issue of funding the working capital of a mining operation that is unable to deliver concentrate to port for maybe 8months of the year. However, given the innovative financial arrangements that are being introduced where offtakers are having to be flexible to maintain their positions in midstream activities in critical metals, I now believe that smelters could well provide such financing in order to receive quality concentrate.
This of course is simply a part of the future DFS considerations, but I see such a potential solution as a win/win. It would simplify our financing requiremement as we reach production.
