I am just starting to do the research now, but they would be drilling to increase the mineral resource from Inferred to indicated as others have posted above - to get more confidence and details as to the geometry and grade of this thing, which is already on granted mining leases, why go off chasing new deposits when they have an existing one already permitted with a mining lease?

The better confidence in the geology will eventually lead to a decision to mine and/or attract someone else to invest, joint venture, or enter into some other M&A to monetise the project. The more uncertainty as to the geology and grade they take off the table, the more confidence and higher valuation is put on the ounces in the ground, especially if it's in a granted mining lease and not tied up in red tape for years.
