On the Cu exoloration. I think you are right. The sulphides will be highly visible to the naked eye/hand lens. The only question is some misevaluation between the chalcopyrite and (iron) pyrite. Because they look so similar.
In fact in the chemical formula chalcopyrite (CuFeS2) copper only replaces some iron but the crystals are less blocky. Bornite (Cu5FeS) or peacock ore may be easier but if fine crystals it's also tricky. They also have handheld XRF's to assist with that.
All IMVHO.
