I feel for people who have lost here -long termers are okay I guess , depending on length of long term!! - I know a bit as I was told by a good judge to buy them at about $3 nine years ago - i think i didnt like the terms they gave Packer at the time, and I have also always wondered how they go in times of market turmoil.
Not saying I told you so as I have been wrong, but they often seemed to me like they made out had some magic formulae and /or magic investment that would not be prone to normal market movements!! Only thing I can think of like that is really good infrastructure investments, and some of them are prone to disruption in a pandemic! Do they have a lot of infrastructure, and are their investments transparent?- as in what they actually invest in
But I have not followed them at all in past 8 or 9 years , as when I saw their price above $10 and even $12, I was busy kicking myself!!
