Should there be a spin out?
Well possibly because gold and lithium are at different ends of the spec explorer play. Meaning possibly that they appeal to different investors.
And while gold has been stagnant for quite a while now (some slow movers, some losers in my portfolio, only one sharp to the up side) nevertheless I would not be without gold plays which I understood well in the portfolio.
In fact I believe there could be a big move coming - as has happened several times this century - overall rise from ~ 400 to ~ 3000 AUD since 2000.
On the other hand lithium is where the big profits have happened lately, and will continue IMO. Its almost impossible to not make a quid in a well researched diversified lithium portfolio.
I must say that copper is doing very nicely too - not in SA.
I conclude that although gold and lithium are quite different and the combination wont appeal to some, they do sit nicely together for me.
Anyway if it is decided to spin the two, it wont bother me too much - I'll go hard on each, if I get the opportunity.
Any thoughts?
