The previous offer was announced on 13th September to increase the price from $0.042 to $0.0445 per share. Redstone (Gina's) shareholding at that time was 76.3%. In the last two weeks, those shareholders who have moved to accept $0.042 cents has increased by a measly 0.7%. Clearly it was never going to make the 87% clip level when FMG stated they were sitting.
So now we have a conditional bid at $0.046 cents per share. As long as FMG sits, I see no reason to sell. And I am not alone, a 0.7% increase on a variation to the original bid can only be considered another failed attempt to take over AGO completely.
In two weeks time do you think she will fold with 77-79% or will FMG sell at this price? Time will tell, but I don't think FMG are in any hurry to move and Gina has shown she will increase the price if she can get control. I expect she might need to increase it further.
